Even after her loss on Nov. 5, Vice President Kamala Harris’ election campaign is still hounding donors for money.

Harris’ campaign has bombarded supporters with fundraising messages following her election day defeat, with the most recent being sent out Sunday night, according to emails obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. Each email claims, using slightly different language, that the “Harris Fight Fund” is collecting donations to fund legal efforts and recount initiatives to help Democrats in close congressional races.

“First and foremost, we want to acknowledge the fear, confusion and sadness many of you are feeling at this moment,” one of Harris’ post-election emails reads. “As you read this, there are U.S. Senate and House races that are either too close to call, or within the margin of recounts or certain legal challenges. Can you please rush a contribution to the Harris Fight Fund program today?”

After clicking the donation link contained in the emails, prospective donors are sent to the ActBlue page for the Harris Victory Fund. The first $41,300 in donations from an individual to the Harris Victory Fund are sent to the Democratic National Committee (DNC), according to the fine print of the donation page. Only the next $3,100 in donations from a given individual are deposited into “Harris for President’s Recount Account.” The next $510,000 in donations from an individual donor are earmarked to be disbursed equally among the Democratic Parties in all 50 states and D.C., with any excess funds going to the DNC. California Lawmaker Says His Audit Hit Dead Ends When Assessing State’s Homelessness Spending https://genesiswealthdefense.com/california-lawmaker-says-his-audit-hit-dead-ends-when-assessing-states-homelessness-spending/ https://genesiswealthdefense.com/california-lawmaker-says-his-audit-hit-dead-ends-when-assessing-states-homelessness-spending/#respond Mon, 11 Nov 2024 22:24:10 +0000 https://genesiswealthdefense.com/california-lawmaker-says-his-audit-hit-dead-ends-when-assessing-states-homelessness-spending/ California State Senator Dave Cortese said he requested an audit of California’s spending on homelessness because he wanted to know what the cities were doing with the money, whether their practices could be improved, and also whether or not at the state level something could be done better.

Cortese shared about the audit on a recent episode of EpochTV’s “Bay Area Innovators.”

He said $24 billion is what was invested throughout the state of California by the time the audit came out, and with that spent on 58 counties, homelessness should have been wiped out.

“We want homelessness to be resolved, to be eradicated, really … but that hasn’t happened, obviously. Everyone can see that with their own eyes,” Cortese said. “In San Jose … there’s still somewhere between 4,500 and 5,000 people on the streets.”

He noted that there are two types of homeless people, those who are sheltered and those who are unsheltered. […]

Markets Tumble in China https://genesiswealthdefense.com/markets-tumble-in-china/ https://genesiswealthdefense.com/markets-tumble-in-china/#respond Sat, 09 Nov 2024 23:01:08 +0000 https://genesiswealthdefense.com/markets-tumble-in-china/ Chinese markets have taken a tumble in the wake of Donald Trump’s historic election victory, amid fears the president-elect will impose high tariffs on Chinese goods.

Economists are talking about China “front-loading” exports for the final quarter of 2024 to beat Trump’s tariffs, which could begin in the third quarter of 2025. Factories in China are already increasing production in an attempt to flood the market with goods before Trump takes office.

Voice of America News (VOA) reported that outbound shipments from China “grew at the fastest pace in over two years in October as factories rushed inventory to major export markets in anticipation of further tariffs from the U.S. and the European Union.”

“Trump’s tariff threat is rattling Chinese factory owners and officials, with some $500 billion worth of shipments annually on the line, while trade tensions with the EU, which last year took $466 billion worth of Chinese goods, have intensified,” VOA noted.

Chinese Investors had expected a major stimulus package from the government this week, but were disappointed with the relatively small $1.4 trillion package Beijing produced, with a focus on reducing the debt burden of local government. […]

Nearly $11 Billion Spent in Political Advertising for 2024 Elections https://genesiswealthdefense.com/nearly-11-billion-spent-in-political-advertising-for-2024-elections/ https://genesiswealthdefense.com/nearly-11-billion-spent-in-political-advertising-for-2024-elections/#respond Sat, 09 Nov 2024 18:54:28 +0000 https://genesiswealthdefense.com/nearly-11-billion-spent-in-political-advertising-for-2024-elections/ United States politicians and their supporters spent a record of nearly $11 billion in political advertising this election cycle, including more than $3 billion on the presidential election alone, AdImpact reported Friday.

The high price tag, which saw Democrats outspending Republicans, is an increase from the $9 billion groups and politicians spent in 2020, according to NBC News. The presidential race saw the highest price tag, but down-ballot races and the Senate were also pricey at approximately $2.9 billion and $2.6 billion respectively.

In the presidential race, Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign, joint fundraising committees aligned with the campaign, and the Democratic National Committee, spent a cumulative $880 million since the start of 2023. Her campaign, allies, and outside groups together spent almost $1.8 billion on advertising.

President-elect Donald Trump’s campaign, joint fundraising committees, and the Republican Party spent roughly $425 million on ads. Pro-Republican outside groups plus the campaign spent $1.4 billion.

For the Senate races, Democrats and pro-Democratic outside groups spent $1.4 billion, and Republicans and their groups spent $1.2 billion. But the most expensive race was in Ohio, where Republicans dumped more than $538 million on the race between incumbent Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown, and challenger Bernie Moreno, who won the race. Americans Have Burned Through Their Pandemic Savings https://genesiswealthdefense.com/americans-have-burned-through-their-pandemic-savings/ https://genesiswealthdefense.com/americans-have-burned-through-their-pandemic-savings/#respond Sat, 09 Nov 2024 02:57:57 +0000 https://genesiswealthdefense.com/americans-have-burned-through-their-pandemic-savings/ (Zero Hedge)—For the past three years, as the United States – like many other nations – battled with elevated inflation, consumer spending has remained remarkably robust, keeping the U.S. economy from sliding into a recession.

However, as Statista’s Felix Richter reports, that has come at the expense of personal saving, which dropped sharply in 2022, when the personal saving rate, i.e. the share of their disposable income that people weren’t spending on consumption, taxes or interest payments, dropped to the lowest level since the financial crisis.

You will find more infographics at Statista

During the pandemic, when generous stimulus checks met limited consumption possibilities, Americans had saved more money than ever before, with the personal saving rate peaking at 32 percent in April 2020 and remaining above the pre-pandemic trend until the end of 2021.

That’s when inflation started to bite, and people started utilizing these excess savings to support their spending.

According to calculations made by economists at the San Francisco Fed, American households accumulated $2.1 trillion in excess savings between March 2020 and August 2021, that is they saved $2.1 trillion more than they would have been expected to based on the pre-pandemic trend of personal saving. In September 2021, people began saving less than they would have been expected to, meaning those excess savings were gradually drawn down. Three inflation-plagued years later, Americans have burned through those excess savings, and then some.

At the end of September 2024, Americans had collectively saved $291 billion less since March 2020 than they would have been projected to if the pandemic had never happened.

Government Employees Dominate US Union Membership https://genesiswealthdefense.com/government-employees-dominate-us-union-membership/ https://genesiswealthdefense.com/government-employees-dominate-us-union-membership/#respond Sat, 09 Nov 2024 02:49:00 +0000 https://genesiswealthdefense.com/government-employees-dominate-us-union-membership/ Today, union membership stands at historic lows of 10%, a stark decline from the 33.5% peak seen in 1954.

Despite a surge in unionizing efforts last year, from Starbucks and Amazon to Trader Joes and Uber, national membership rates fell for the second year in a row. This was due to the rise in non-union jobs, which largely offset the 191,000 new private sector unionized jobs.

This graphic, via Visual Capitalist’s Dorothy Neufeld, shows the industries with the highest union membership rates in America, based on data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

As we can see in the table below, roughly a third of public sector jobs are unionized, led by the local government sector by a wide margin:Government Employees Dominate US Union Membership

When it comes to the private sector, utilities and transportation have the highest union membership rates, both providing essential services in highly-regulated industries. […]

Elon Musk Endorses Abolishing the Federal Reserve https://genesiswealthdefense.com/elon-musk-endorses-abolishing-the-federal-reserve/ https://genesiswealthdefense.com/elon-musk-endorses-abolishing-the-federal-reserve/#respond Sat, 09 Nov 2024 02:48:12 +0000 https://genesiswealthdefense.com/elon-musk-endorses-abolishing-the-federal-reserve/ In a post on X, Big Tech billionaire Elon Musk aligned his vision with former Texas Rep. Ron Paul’s suggestion to eliminate the Federal Reserve as a pathway to fiscal reform.

Paul, one of the most prominent libertarians in the United States who is known for his calls to end the Fed’s control over American monetary policy, posted on the social media platform about this, attaching a video of Musk speaking at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally in New York City. The world’s richest man claimed he could slash at least $2 trillion from the federal budget.

“Elon cutting $2 trillion from the budget? Great idea! Start with some of the BIGGEST welfare recipients: – Military-industrial complex – Pharmaceutical-industrial complex. Oh… and End the Fed!” Paul said.

Musk replied on the same thread, saying: “Needs to be done.”

The viral post immediately drew significant reactions from Musk’s massive following on social media as it echoed the sentiment of many critics who view the Fed’s role as perpetuating debt through monetary expansion and interest collection. […]

Caller on Popular Hip-Hop Show Says Black Voters May ‘Need to Switch Parties’ if Trump Improves Economy https://genesiswealthdefense.com/caller-on-popular-hip-hop-show-says-black-voters-may-need-to-switch-parties-if-trump-improves-economy/ https://genesiswealthdefense.com/caller-on-popular-hip-hop-show-says-black-voters-may-need-to-switch-parties-if-trump-improves-economy/#respond Sat, 09 Nov 2024 01:52:33 +0000 https://genesiswealthdefense.com/caller-on-popular-hip-hop-show-says-black-voters-may-need-to-switch-parties-if-trump-improves-economy/ A black Detroit caller on “The Breakfast Club” named D’Angelo said Thursday that black Americans must be more strategic with their votes.

President-elect Donald Trump’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris included an increase in his support among black men, from 19% to 21%, according to Reuters. The caller, during a segment dubbed “Get It Off Your Chest,” asserted that Democrats have failed to deliver on their promises to black Americans and should be required to meet their demands in exchange for their votes. (Stream The Daily Caller’s Latest Documentary ‘Cleaning Up Kamala’ HERE)

“Man, I just want to say, bro, that we not a monolith, you know what I’m saying? Black people think by theyselves … I feel like, at the end of the day, why we lost, I feel like it’s the Democratic Party is the reason why we lost, man,” D’Angelo said. “They promised us and promised us and promised us, but we never get nothing in return, man. And it’s a new day and a new age, and I feel like, you know what I’m saying, as black people, we should now demand everything we want before … we … give up our vote, man.”

“We’ve been sitting around too long and just giving, getting the crumbs. But now we need everything we ask for … for us to vote for ’em, man. And maybe, maybe it’s a good thing that Trump did win, because we can see if he really piggybacked off of [former President Barack] Obama’s economy, can he come bring us out of this economy? And we can see what the Republicans do,” he added. “So at the end of the day, if he do bring up the economy, we can look at it like maybe we just need to switch parties now or maybe do something different. That’s how I feel.”

Obama on Oct. 10 argued that Trump’s economy was “pretty good” due to his administration providing “75 straight months of job growth,” insisting that the president-elect deserves no credit. Trump, while on the “PBD Podcast,” accused Obama of being “angry” and “nasty” after watching a clip of the former president’s remarks. […]

Trump Commits to the “Largest Deportation Effort” in American History With “No Price Tag” https://genesiswealthdefense.com/trump-commits-to-the-largest-deportation-effort-in-american-history-with-no-price-tag/ https://genesiswealthdefense.com/trump-commits-to-the-largest-deportation-effort-in-american-history-with-no-price-tag/#respond Sat, 09 Nov 2024 01:44:54 +0000 https://genesiswealthdefense.com/trump-commits-to-the-largest-deportation-effort-in-american-history-with-no-price-tag/ DCNF(DCNF)—President-elect Donald Trump dismissed concerns Thursday about the costs associated with his proposed mass deportation plan.

During a phone interview with NBC News, Trump stated that “there’s no price tag” to his promised deportation plan. He said that he’d initiate an unprecedented immigration crackdown from his first day in office, aiming to deport those in the U.S. illegally, particularly individuals with criminal records.

“It’s not a question of a price tag. It’s not — really, we have no choice. When people have killed and murdered, when drug lords have destroyed countries, and now they’re going to go back to those countries because they’re not staying here. There is no price tag,” Trump said, according to NBC News.

Trump says he’ll depend heavily on local law enforcement to deport people, although coordination with federal agencies will be essential, the outlet reported. During the same interview, Trump also expressed a welcoming stance toward legal immigration and discussed the need for a robust and secure border. He maintained that the country should remain open to newcomers who respect its laws.

“We obviously have to make the border strong and powerful and, and we have to — at the same time, we want people to come into our country,” Trump said. “And you know, I’m not somebody that says, ‘No, you can’t come in.’ We want people to come in,” Trump said, according to NBC News.

Despite efforts by Democrats to sway Latino voters, his support among Latino men has surged, according to a CNN exit poll. Trump led Vice President Kamala Harris by 12 points among Latino men, however Harris won over Latino women by 22 points.
