Tim Walz – Genesis Wealth Defense https://genesiswealthdefense.com There's a thin line between ringing alarm bells and fearmongering. Kim Reynolds’ state coming in first and Democratic Vice Presidential Nominee and Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz in last.

The libertarian Cato Institute released the report, which graded states by spending, revenue and taxes. The top ten states in the rankings starting at the top are Iowa, Nebraska, West Virginia, Arkansas, South Dakota, Montana, Hawaii, Georgia, Idaho, and Vermont.

The bottom ten states, according to the analysis, are New Mexico, Missouri, Oregon, Michigan, Wisconsin, Delaware, Washington, Maine, New York and lastly, Minnesota.

The bottom six states received a grade of “F.”

Walz’ poor rating comes just weeks before the presidential election where he and his running mate Vice President Kamala Harris are in a nearly tied race with former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio.

The report explains the reasoning for Walz’ low score, pointing to a series of tax hikes under his leadership as well as spending increasing by 36% since 2022, from from about $52 billion to nearly $71 billion.

From the report:

In 2019, Walz’s budget would have added ‘$2 billion more in new spending and taxes would increase by $1.3 billion to pay for it, with the rest of the money coming from an existing surplus.’ But he compromised with the legislature, and the final tax increase was about $330 million annually. Walz also pushed for higher gas taxes and higher vehicle fees to raise about $1 billion annually for transportation, but those increases were rejected.

Walz pushed for more tax hikes in 2021. He proposed adding a new individual income tax rate of 10.85 percent above the current top rate of 9.85 percent, a surtax on capital gains and dividends, and a hike to the corporate tax rate from 9.8 percent to 11.25 percent. The proposals—which would have raised about $1.6 billion annually—were rejected by the legislature…

Walz hit the middle class with HF 2887, which raised taxes and fees on vehicles and transportation. The increases included indexing the gas tax for inflation, increasing vehicle registration taxes, raising fees on deliveries, and raising sales taxes in the Twin Cities area.

Six Key Takeaways From the Debate: A Stalwart Running Mate Versus a Knucklehead https://genesiswealthdefense.com/six-key-takeaways-from-the-debate-a-stalwart-running-mate-versus-a-knucklehead/ https://genesiswealthdefense.com/six-key-takeaways-from-the-debate-a-stalwart-running-mate-versus-a-knucklehead/#respond Wed, 02 Oct 2024 18:36:27 +0000 https://genesiswealthdefense.com/six-key-takeaways-from-the-debate-a-stalwart-running-mate-versus-a-knucklehead/ Vice Presidential debates serve three purposes. The biggest is to introduce the running mate, who is generally less well-known than the top of the ticket, to low-information American voters who know very little about them.

Second, party and candidate platforms are usually debated in more detail than during a presidential debate. They’re supposed to be more substantive with fewer fireworks and more specifics. This allows the VP candidates to attempt to serve their third purpose which is to attack the opponents’ presidential candidate while propping up their own presidential candidate.

Last night’s CBS News debate exemplified all three purposes. The lone deviation was the moderators who once again inserted themselves into the debate by carrying water for Democrat Tim Walz while trying to discredit Republican J.D. Vance. At times, moderators Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan were insufferable.

Here are six key takeaways for those who didn’t watch as well as for those who did watch and might have missed a few details.

Vance’s Debate Skills in 43-Seconds

The “Whac-a-Mole” moment during the debate checked all the boxed. In 43-seconds, Vance attacked his opponent, attacked Kamala Harris, promoted Donald Trump, and added a personal anecdote on top.

This will be a moment that future debaters analyze while preparing their own candidates.

Vance Dominated the Optics Battle

To fulfill the first goal of the debate, Vance presented himself to the American people as intelligent, confident, and well prepared. He handled the “gotcha” attacks from both Walz and the moderators with the precision of a highly skilled debater with only a few missteps on messaging.

In contrast, Walz came across as a buffoon. His first answer started off very rocky as he was conspicuously nervous, tripping over words and bouncing around different talking points. At one point he even noted that he can be a “knucklehead” sometimes.

Words aside, Vance looked great and Walz did not. As Jack Posobiec noted on X:

Scarlett Johnson reiterated the point:

Throughout the debate, Vance presented himself as presidential and a man Americans could follow while Walz came across as the bumbling uncle families don’t look forward to hearing from on Thanksgiving.

Walz Bombed the One Tough Question He Was Asked

The only thing the debate moderators did fairly the entire night was to ask Walz about his bald-faced lie on being there during the Tiananmen Square massacre. It didn’t go well.

As bad as Walz’ response was, it’s hard to imagine any way this guy could have answered the question without looking awful. He took a bad circumstance and sprinkled moronic all over it.

Trust the Experts?

There was a moment in the debate that may not get as much attention from pundits as other exchanges but the viewers noticed. Many were likely nodding their heads unconsciously as Vance gave a brief history lesson about “the experts.”

Of all the moments in the debate, this is the one that will stick in the back of people’s minds long after the election.

Tim Said What?

It was brief, but voters who noticed what Walz said about school shooters may have questions.

Yes, Walz said he had become friends with school shooters. He likely meant he had become friends with school shooting victims and their families, but unfortunately for him anyone who heard his actual words won’t forget them.

Even CNN Thinks Walz Stunk It Up

Unprepared? Overprepared? Outmatched? Whatever narrative corporate media tries to spin for Walz, the fact that they aren’t out there praising Walz the way they fawned over Kamala Harris after her debate is telling.

They might as well have just said he was a buffoon and moved on. They’re not going to dwell on this debate very long. They’ll move on as quickly as possible, sweeping it under the rug while drastically reducing coverage of Walz going forward.

The Verdict Is Obvious

This may have been the most lopsided VP debate in modern history. And to be clear, Walz did far better than many expected. But Vance was dominant even though he missed a handful of opportunities.

It’s conspicuous that he didn’t bring up the lawfare against his running mate, even when Walz gave him the perfect opening by highlighting how Trump talks about locking up both Hillary Clinton and Harris.

It was a no-good, awful night for Walz and very few expected otherwise.

Harris and Walz Will Clone America Into California https://genesiswealthdefense.com/harris-and-walz-will-clone-america-into-california/ https://genesiswealthdefense.com/harris-and-walz-will-clone-america-into-california/#respond Mon, 23 Sep 2024 11:17:17 +0000 https://genesiswealthdefense.com/harris-and-walz-will-clone-america-into-california/

“I believe in that old adage that as goes California, so goes the rest of the country.” – Kamala Harris

(The Center Square)—When Harris named Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her vice presidential nominee, the Democrats were thrilled since he looks like someone who’d be at home on a tractor, sporting a straw hat while tending to his crops. The left believes his facade will persuade moderate and middle-class voters to move left and support Democrats in November. But, the left is counting chickens before they hatch.

It wasn’t just happenstance that Harris chose progressive Walz as her right hand comrade to run with her in November. Waltz is not a low profile progressive whose name happened to pop up. During his first term as governor, Walz was constrained by a Republican majority in the Senate. But in his second term, the Minnesota state government turned far left, as solid blue as California.

Walz is very open about his views and as governor he has put them on auction. He has positioned himself as another Bernie Sanders, the socialist senator from Vermont. He revealed his philosophy on last week’s “White Dudes for Harris” fundraiser call when he said, “Don’t ever shy away from our progressive values. One person’s socialism is another person’s neighborliness.”

It usually takes months to vet a potential candidate for a high office. But since Biden was forced to step down by the DNC just before their convention, they didn’t have time to fully investigate Waltz’s background. As questions about his past and his policies have been revealed by opponents and the media, Democrats have been working overtime to re-image and hawk Walz to moderate voters.

It has been said that people judge you by the company you keep. When Harris announced that she had chosen Waltz as her running mate, those who were most excited about her choice include the progressive “Squad” members Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman of New York. Socialist Bernie Sanders also immediately expressed his approval.

“To me socialism means that we must work to reform a system that is corrupt.” – Bernie Sanders

Everyone already knows that Harris hails from the progressive bastion of progressive California. As a U.S. senator she gained the reputation as the most liberal member of the Senate in her first term. Harris’ record speaks for itself. She cast the most tie-breaking votes in Senate history to green-light the Democrats’ most radical, inflationary priorities. Her votes led to trillions of dollars of runaway spending by Democrats and the confirmation of many radical activist progressive federal judges.

Since Walz was a last minute pick by Harris, the American people did not know much about his policies or his past. And the liberal media did not have time to run cover for him like they’ve done for Harris since she’s been in office. Legislation Waltz has signed into law rivals that in California.

“I believe in diversity and I think the legislation I have signed into law proves this.” – Tim Walz

The seeming schism in Walz’s progressive ideological history has become a subject of red-hot national political debate since it was revealed that he was Harris’s running mate.

Since Walz was elected, Minnesota allows abortion on demand at any stage of pregnancy. Walz overturned a former “born alive” provision that offered protections for babies who survived an abortion.

Walz believes government is the answer. He thinks government should over-rule parents if it does not like decisions they make. He signed a trans-refuge bill to “protect children from their parents” who come to his state for gender-affirming care, like puberty blockers or sex-change surgery.

Walz signed a bill to provide K-12 students, regardless of need, free breakfast and lunch. It has cost millions of dollars and he raised taxes to finance it. Giving free stuff to everyone buys votes and increases dependence on government but it’s paid for by taxpayers, not the leftist politicians.

In typical progressive fashion, Walz signed legislation that requires menstrual products, such as tampons and sanitary napkins, to be provided in both boys’ and girls’ public school bathrooms.

“Gov Walz wants to insure all those who menstruate have access to period supplies.” – Lacey Gero

Walz has bucked the national trend of many other governors and continues to raise taxes to finance his many progressive programs. Jared Walczak of the Tax Foundation said, “Gov. Walz’s tax record is notable because of how much it contrasts with broader national trends. Walz is rare among his peers, to dramatically increase taxes while other governors have championed tax cuts.”

In 2023, he passed a bill making illegal aliens living in the U.S. eligible for driver’s licenses. He proposed giving illegal aliens free health insurance from the state’s low-income insurance plan. Walz supports laws that forbid local law enforcement from informing federal authorities about the status of illegal aliens that they arrest.

Walz, like Harris, changes his policy support for survival. While he was in Congress, he represented a very conservative Minnesota district. He crossed the aisle many times and supported bills that his conservative constituents told him to pass. In fact, at one time GovTrack rated Walz the 12th most politically right member of the House Democratic Caucus. Of course that was then – and this is now.

Democrats claim Walz will “bring normality back to the chaotic political environment,” just as Harris and Biden once promised. But most people see Walz as anything but a return to normalcy. And the Republican National Committee Chair Michael Whatley contended that the Harris and Walz team will “make up the most radical, far-left, progressive presidential ticket in the history of our country.”

There are many reasons why people are leaving states like Minnesota and California, which rank in the bottom 10 for net migration. Blue state progressive governors are raising taxes to patronize the illegal aliens and identity groups, at the expense of services used by taxpayers. They are funding drug addicts and the homeless programs, which encourages more to come. Their insane climate laws and other Orwellian politics make living in a blue state impossible and the people want out.

If Kamala Harris and Tim Walz win the election and take control of the House and the Senate, in four years America will be a clone of California. With progressives running America, California will have unprecedented influence on the laws passed by Congress. As the first California Democrat to win the White House, Harris will charter policies that replicate California’s ideology for all America.

Harris’ positions are so extreme they make Orwell’s Big Brother look liberal. Harris is the biggest remake of a candidate in political history. And we’ll see the real Kamala Harris on Nov. 6.

“In our age, there is no such thing as ‘keeping out of politics.’ All issues are political issues, and politics itself is a mass of lies, evasions, folly, hatred and schizophrenia.” – George Orwell

The Five Lies Corporate Media Perpetuates to Steal the 2024 Election https://genesiswealthdefense.com/the-five-lies-corporate-media-perpetuates-to-steal-the-2024-election/ https://genesiswealthdefense.com/the-five-lies-corporate-media-perpetuates-to-steal-the-2024-election/#respond Tue, 17 Sep 2024 18:24:25 +0000 https://genesiswealthdefense.com/the-five-lies-corporate-media-perpetuates-to-steal-the-2024-election/ In seven weeks, Americans will go to the polls and allegedly decide who’s going to be the next President of the United States. I say “allegedly” because I’m still not convinced that we have actual elections anymore. Between the 2020 presidential election and the 2022 midterms, it appears we have “selections” made by the powers-that-be.

They’re in the process of trying to steal the 2024 election right now. It’s not just the illegal aliens who are being registered to vote or the mail-in ballot fraud that’s already in place. It’s also the manufactured ballots that will be deployed on Election Night where they deem it necessary.

The role of corporate media is not to generate votes. The only role corporate media is supposed to play in all of this is to suspend disbelief in a Harris victory. If they can convince enough people that she’s not going to lose in a landslide, then whatever cheating is necessary will be applied and fewer people will question the results. We saw it in the last two elections and this coming election is going to be far more rigged than either of those.

Don’t believe the polls. Don’t believe the talking heads. The vast majority of Republicans and Independents are smart enough to realize that Harris would be at best a continuation of the awful policies that have decimated prosperity, opportunity, and sanity in America. Many Democrats realize it, too, whether they’re willing to admit it or not.

Donald Trump will receive by far more legal votes in this election, but the only thing that matters is the count of the ballots. This is where they’ll cheat.

The most important thing we can do is pray. The second most important thing we can do is vote and make sure everyone around us does so as well. But the third most important action we can take is to dispel the lies that are being told. As I noted, there are at least a dozen major ones but for the sake of time (to fit it into the first 30 minutes of my show today) I’ve highlighted the top five…

Kamala Harris Is the “Change” Candidate

This is arguably the most laughable argument any political candidate could ever make. She’s the sitting Vice President, which makes her the highest ranking member of the White House who is not currently suffering from dementia. In other words, this is her mess as much if not more so than Joe Biden’s. But since nobody wants more of the same, they’re going with the gaslighting campaign message that she represents change. They don’t really have much of a choice.

Tim Walz Is Normal

When Dan Quayle ran for Vice President with George H. W. Bush, it was a headscratcher. Sure, he was young which was supposed to balance out the perspective that Bush was too old, but he was both weird and ignorant on many topics. Tim Walz is Dan Quayle squared. He’s a legitimately strange dude. He lies more than your average politician. Watch one minute of any of his campaign speeches and it’s clear the guy isn’t all there. He is NOT normal.

Donald Trump Is a Fascist

The push to paint Trump as Hitler has been blamed for the Deep State assassination attempts against him. This isn’t true in my humble opinion but the vitriol and even violence that comes from the left against Trump supporters is real. But here’s the thing. It is nearly impossible to make the case that this man is fascist. All they can do is repeat the Big Lie over and over again and hope it sticks. There are things we can criticize him about from both the left and the right but a fascist he is not.

J.D. Vance Is a Radical Right-Winger

Here’s the reality of J.D. Vance. He’s an opportunist. He is malleable. He goes with the flow and is skilled in political expediency. That may not be what most constitutional conservatives want in a leader, but it’s effective and as Trump’s running mate it’s also beneficial. He may sometimes sound like a right-winger and he may sometimes sound like a moderate, but at his core he is a patriot and I’ll take that any day over ideological purity.

Cheating Isn’t Happening

The biggest false narrative corporate media is setting up is the notion that cheating isn’t happening and will not happen. This is a challenging one to tackle because unlike the perceptions of the four players involved in this game, cheating has to do with the rules and far too few people understand exactly how it works.

There is no valid reason Pennsylvania needs weeks to count ballots. There is no valid reason to fear cyberattacks when the voting machines are allegedly not connected to the internet. And there is no valid reason to believe illegal aliens aren’t being registered to vote when 14% of them say they are. Nevertheless, corporate media is promoting these narratives about the cheating that’s being set up now. Unless our representative step up in the next seven weeks to prevent another steal, the only action we can take (outside of prayer and voting) is to learn about the various methods of election fraud and disseminate the information to as many Americans as possible.

I’ll be talking about this in the first half-hour of today’s episode of The JD Rucker Show at 1:30 Pacific. I’ll also be talking about some of the stories on today’s link list…

The Extremist Roots of Tim Walz: A Closer Look at His Radicalization https://genesiswealthdefense.com/the-extremist-roots-of-tim-walz-a-closer-look-at-his-radicalization/ https://genesiswealthdefense.com/the-extremist-roots-of-tim-walz-a-closer-look-at-his-radicalization/#respond Sat, 14 Sep 2024 03:28:32 +0000 https://genesiswealthdefense.com/the-extremist-roots-of-tim-walz-a-closer-look-at-his-radicalization/ (Breitbart)—In the murky waters of American politics, the ascent of Tim Walz, the Democrat vice-presidential nominee, raises eyebrows and questions. His political journey is steeped in the radical ideologies of Paul Wellstone, a figure whose ties to the Democratic Socialists of America and Marxist influences are well-documented. Is Walz merely a puppet of a far-left agenda, or does he genuinely embody the progressive ideals he espouses?

Now, after seemingly rushing to elevate Walz to the national stage, one must wonder about the implications of his radical roots. Before his political career, Walz was a high school teacher and football coach in Mankato, Minnesota, presenting himself as a humble outsider. However, his true political foundation was laid in January 2005 at Camp Wellstone, a training camp designed to indoctrinate grassroots progressives in the radical methods of Wellstone himself. This camp, named in honor of a man who once declared, “I am an old Alinsky organizer,” served as a breeding ground for those who would push the boundaries of acceptable political discourse.

“I am an old Alinsky organizer.” – Paul Wellstone

The camp was not just a place for learning; it was a launchpad for a new generation of leaders, including Walz, who would go on to achieve a stunning victory in Minnesota’s conservative 1st Congressional District in 2006. This victory was no accident; it was the result of a carefully orchestrated campaign, bolstered by fellow Camp Wellstone alumni. The radical roots of this camp are undeniable, as it was heavily influenced by figures like Frances Fox Piven and Heather Booth, both of whom have long histories in radical activism.

“He is a radical and, yes, a 1960s radical at that.” – Washington Post

The legacy of Paul Wellstone is one of confrontation and civil disobedience, a legacy that Walz has embraced wholeheartedly. His political rise mirrors that of Wellstone, who, with the backing of the Democratic Socialists of America, shocked the political establishment by defeating a two-term Republican incumbent in 1990. The DSA’s influence on Wellstone was profound, and it continues to echo in Walz’s career.

“The first 1960s radical elected to the US Senate.” – Mother Jones

Walz’s connections to Camp Wellstone are not just historical footnotes; they are the bedrock of his political identity. The camp has produced a cadre of progressive leaders, including Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter. It is a veritable incubator for radical thought, with its advisory committee featuring prominent socialist leaders and activists.

“You could tell he was a leader.” – David Wellstone

The training Walz received at Camp Wellstone was instrumental in shaping his political skills. As Marcia Avner, a longtime progressive activist, noted, “What you see is what we saw back then, but it has been strengthened with extraordinary experience.” This experience has allowed Walz to navigate the treacherous waters of modern politics, often with the guidance of his former trainer, Peggy Flanagan.

“He was my camper; I taught him everything he knows!” – Peggy Flanagan

Flanagan’s influence on Walz cannot be overstated. She has been a key player in shaping his progressive agenda, often being described as his “progressive whisperer.” Walz himself has acknowledged her role, stating, “[For] every major decision she is there from the beginning.” Together, they have pushed through some of Minnesota’s most radical legislation, all while invoking the legacy of Wellstone.

“We all do better when we all do better.” – Peggy Flanagan

The radical legacy of Wellstone looms large over Walz’s political career. His deep ties to the DSA and other far-left organizations raise serious questions about the direction of the Democratic Party. As the DSA proudly proclaimed, “The DSA and its allies on the left are a force that cannot be ignored.”

“No one does it better.” – Jon Youngdahl

The implications of Walz’s radical connections extend beyond Minnesota. His past involvement in a student exchange program with China and his numerous trips to the country have sparked controversy and raised eyebrows. The House Oversight Committee is now investigating these ties, questioning the nature of his relationship with the Chinese Communist Party.

“He has been so seasoned by the work here.” – Pam Costain

As the 2024 election looms, the Walz-Harris ticket appears to be a harbinger of a more radical Democratic agenda. With figures like Bernie Sanders suggesting that Kamala Harris has adjusted her positions to be more “pragmatic,” one must wonder what this means for the future of American politics.

“He has demonstrated a remarkable ability to evolve as a public leader, uniting Democrats’ diverse coalition to achieve significant milestones for Minnesota families of all backgrounds.” – Elianne Farhat

In a political landscape rife with uncertainty, the radical influences that have shaped Tim Walz’s career cannot be ignored. As he and Flanagan continue to push the boundaries of progressive politics, the question remains: will the American electorate embrace this radical vision, or will they push back against the tide of extremism?

“I want to burn down the system, and you want to get into the system and change it from the inside out.” – Marvin Manypenny

As we reflect on the legacy of Paul Wellstone and the rise of Tim Walz, it’s clear that the radical left is alive and well in American politics. The question is, how far will they go to achieve their goals?

“It’s always a sad day to think Paul and Sheila…” – Peggy Flanagan

In the end, the radical legacy of Wellstone endures, and with it, the potential for a more extreme Democratic agenda. The stakes have never been higher, and the American people must remain vigilant.
